Sunday. The land changed. More irrigation, cows, trees.
Texas has picnic areas along the road.
A place to get off the road and a picnic table. We drag our bathroom and lunch along behind so they are good stopping places for us.
Every quarter mile or so along the road there are these solitary, interesting, gnarly trees. The one in the picnic area was typical.
Just northwest of Del Rio we found the Amistad National Recreation Area. Beautiful blue water. Didn’t get any pictures.
Then it became hills and canyons. This picture may be the finger of Lake Amistad crossing US 90 in the upper left of the map.
