From the Montana Dept of Transportation Web Site (click here)

Mudslides on May 20 caused by heavy rain and snow runoff damaged the road in 13 locations. The Beartooth Highway (Hwy 212) is closed from the Parkside Campground, approximately 10 miles south of Red Lodge, to the Montana/Wyoming border.

I'll have to come back to finish the ride.
