Like I said, I've run out of adjectives. This was a 140 picture day. Chief Joseph and the Beartooth Pass was 91 pictures I think.
Moose Crossing
There is an "Eagle Habitat, no stopping, no walking" just inside the east entrance. The first time we came through we saw the nests. Today there were these big birds just sitting there.
The Firehole River Canyon (no adjectives)
Out of the canyon and back on the main loop road. Geothermal phenomenon in the distance.
"I'm just out for a stroll, I don't know what all the fuss is about."
Inside the Old Lodge. We got there about 10:45. Had lunch.
Found a nice shady spot with rocking chairs to wait for the eruption.
OS! My batteries died! I was smart enough to put spares in the truck. Not smart enough to put some in my new wearable purse. Run to the truck, change batteries, run back, almost in time.
So we toured the area for a while. This in the "Old Lodge".
This is the inn.
About 15% of the tourist seemed to be non-english speaking. This one I didn't hear or see from the front.
And back for the second eruption about 1:47.
We stopped at several (far from all) of the parking areas and walked the trail. I did. Camille wimped out after the Old Faithful area. Geothermal phenomenon all over everywhere.
Mandatory tree
Nope it wasn't crowded.
We went out to dinner with Phil and Doris at TJS Bettola at the airport! It was highly recommended by the campground ("We get the most raves about this place.") It was good.
