Then to Coon Creek, the MacDill AFB FamCamp. This time we started
out on the creek with water and electric. Last year we went to the RV show
and they called us there and said we could move to the Sand Pits and
full hookups for two weeks. Again this year we went to the RV show
and they called us there and said we could move to the Sand Pits and
full hookups for two weeks.
This year we went to the RV show on the campground bus. Much
nicer. Marie got us parked up close and then entertained us on
the way home. She leads two lives, one as the activities director
for the campground and one as the wife of the Army Special Forces
Command Sergeant Major. Didn't have a bit of trouble getting her
"bus load of retirees" back on the base.
We renewed old friendships and made some new ones. A bunch folks
from Tri State Rebels showed up after the January muster and we enjoyed
visiting with them.
We had a delightful evening with Camille's grammar school friend Sandra and her husband Ken.
Did a couple of new things this year - The outlet malls down at Ellentown and the Wagon Wheel Flea Market.
Both were pretty awesome.
We had an excellent lunch across the Interstate from the outlet mall.
We went to the flea market with our new friends Steve and Brenda.
Yes, it was huge!
Then instead of moving to the field we headed for Key West.
Across the Everglades and Overnight with the Indians
