Isle of Palms (June 24-25, 2004)

Off by 9:40,  Set up at the Mt Pleasant/Isle of Palms KOA by noon.  It was a “pull through” site.  We didn’t know how to act.

We bought a Sweet Grass Basket from a road side stand and went to visit the Isle of Palms.

Mrs. Garmin told us about a neat sounding place to eat, the Sea Biscuit Café, down near the ocean.  It was good.  I had a bowl of crab soup and Key Lime Pie for desert.  Camille declared my Key Lime Pie the “best ever.”

Then we went to the Isle of Palms County Park.  Basically a parking lot and beach access.

Umpteem years ago, before kids, we camped on the beach at Isle of Palms.  When I told the lady at the SC Welcome Center that, she said “You won’t be camping on the beach there anymore.”  Wow, if we had been smart enough and able to buy some beach front!

Back at the campground, I cooked hamburgers on my new George Foreman Propane Grill that Camille bought me for father’s day.
